Why God keeps Sabbath?

Man keeps the Sabbath and the bible says he is refreshed after his week of work:

Ex. 23:12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

Did God need rest?
17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

There are ten verses in the Bible containing the word "refreshed," in 9 of them it refers to a person. Only in Ex 31:17 it seems to refer to God but why is "he" written without capital letter?

The Sabbath and the family were alike instituted in Eden, and in God's purpose they are indissolubly linked together. On this day more than on any other, it is possible for us to live the life of Eden.Ed.250.1

So God Got Tied making Everything? So he rested on the seven day. ?
