Prophecy fulfilled: Babylon

This prophecy has been exactly fulfilled. According to Uriah Smith, even Alexander the Great tried to rebuild it after it had been spoiled many times by different nations, yet he died of excessive drunkenness just when he had 10 000 thousand of his men removing the rubble form the city and the work had to be stopped.

Is. 13:19, 20 "19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

Saddam Hussein spend billions of dollars to rebuild Babylon.  The bricks became sought after as collectors items after the downfall Hussein. He also installed a huge portrait of himself and Nebuchadnezzar at the entrance to the ruins.
