The reason Jesus hasn't come

17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

We are still wandering in the wilderness because we are not spiritually braced to meet the troubles ahead of us, and will sacrifice our identity as God's people and return to our slavery to the world. God is testing and trying His people. instead of complaining and murmuring as the Israelites did we should praise God for the light affliction we suffer worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Cor 4:17

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
