LORD is the way the KJV translators translated YHWH. They did this because they believe that the name of God is too holy to be used in everyday language. (like calling a king by his first name) which is how certain churches like JW's display their lack respect for God. The name YHWH means self-Existent or Eternal
Lord is more of a title, although it is also used for God's name. Unlike LORD (which is a substituted word for YHWH), it is directly translated from the hebrew word Adoni which simply means Lord, or Ruler.
