Mountains bring peace - a short study

Psa 72:3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

How do mountains and hills bring peace?

It is not the mountains themselves but what is on the mountains:

Travellers or visitors come from over the mountains (to an ancient Israelite...today they just come from the airport).

Song 2:8 ¶ The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.

They bring something with them that they are identified with:

Psa 72:16 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains

A handful of something which is given the metaphor of corn.

Joel 3:18 ¶ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk,

Joel 2:19 Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil,

What is the meaning of this corn, wine, oil and milk that comes from the mountains and hills (other lands)?

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Jesus is the corn. That doesn't mean there is a handful of Jesus on the mountains...but a handful of travellers or visitors declaring His peace!

Nah. 1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace!

Is. 52:7 ¶ How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

Are your feet on the mountains, are you bringing the milk of the word, the wine of doctrine, the corn of the gospel, the oil of gladness to those in darkness? When the gospel has gone to every nation, then the end shall come.

Hos. 2:22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil.
