when lending money
Ex. 22:25 "If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury."
So if we lend money we should not ask for interest??
Usury - (nāšaḵ) in Hebrew: 5391. נָשַׁךְ nāšaḵ; a primitive root; to strike with a sting (as a serpent); figuratively, to oppress with interest on a loan: — bite, lend upon usury.
It is interesting how it is compared with a serpent's bite.

Re: when lending money
When you lend money to a brother, family or friends you should not charge them interest and I think that is how it is done, in most cases, therefore that practise of charging, is compared to a serpents bite. But a person has to think very carefully before lending money, we should look after our own families first, some people borrow money and do not pay it back.
