too bad if you are rich

Jesus says it once:
23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

He says it again:
24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

He emphasises it again with an illustration of the impossible:
25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.


But don't give up and be like the rich man who went away grieved. God promised:

27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

It is NOT impossible for a camel to go through the eye of an needle. The gates around Jerusalem and other places, contained a place where the camels were lead through with great difficulty.

I take my comment back. As a small child I was told by my father that the "the eye of the needle was a small gate, where the camels were led through with great difficulty. Hence my comment. Well, we had no internet in those days!

It might be a hopeless case, yet what is impossible for men it is possible for God , let us look to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon, Joseph of Arimathaea (Mt. 27:57, this one became a disciple of Jesus), etc.
When rich men SURRENDER to Jesus then their impossibility becomes a possibility
