Why did Abraham gave the sons of Hager and Keturah gifts and send them eastward?

it says he sent them away from Isaac. maybe they were causing trouble, or influencing isaac negatively. Either way I think he did it for his son's sake.

In Gen:25:1 It says that Abraham took a wife (after Rebekah's death)
In verse 6 he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away. Did he have concubines while he was married to Keturah? Was Hagar still around at this time?
