Alkanah claimed to love Hannah very much, I think he loved himselg more than he loved her.

1 Samuel 1:8 Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? [am] not I better to thee than ten sons?

Alkanah took another wife when his wife could not conceive.He tells her not to grieve, implying that he is better to her than children. How come than she was not better to him than children?
