Who are the watchman?
Isaiah 56:10-11 KJV
[10] His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. [11] Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Is this true today? Are all God's watchman so?

Re: Who are the watchman?
Some seem to think that the ministers, pastors, Bible workers and elders are the watchmen. Are they? Or are we all watchmen?

Re: Who are the watchman?
Well we know Jesus is the good shepherd, and v 10 clearly refers to shepherds as looking to their own end ... so yes, they are watchmen that are not fulfilling their role. But in Ezekiel 9:4 it refers to a mark set 'upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominatons that be done in the midst thereof (Jerusalem) viz God's church. Sr White comments about the 'people of God' sighing and crying for the abominations from in the land. That's us. Lovers of Christ and His holy law. So I personally think we are all called to be 'watchmen' (with all that is entailed) within our own circle of influence; but the church ministers etc have a higher accountability as they have been given this as their principle solemn work. What do you think?
