Mark 8:31 "And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again."

In different occasions Jesus told the disciples He was going to suffer, yet they did not comprehend it, we can read the verse is clear as crystal.

Even when they saw he was about to get to suffer they rejected him three times.I think he was suffering all the time he was teaching by seeing what was happening around him.
