Divide the child

Post by Admin2 on Mon Dec 11, 2017 8:07 am

26 Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.

Why did the woman say to divide it instead of giving it back to the rightful mother?

I just had a thought. When Satan lost the battle in heaven he wasn't content with letting Jesús have the kingdom but instead acted the principle "if I can't have it then no one can. The same attitude is engaged by children and even adults when they don't get their way as this story demonstrates
