Proverbs 7 Empty Proverbs 7

Post by Mathétés Tue Oct 24, 2017 4:00 pm

I think this chapter is an advice not to young people only but to adults as well:

I liked this verses:

Prov. 7:1 "My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
Prov. 7:2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
Prov. 7:3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart."

then since verse 7 the description of a young man "void of understanding" follows and he is caught by his own sin in the hands of the "strange woman".

it makes me think how serious and dangerous this sin is.
We should pray that young people and older brothers and sisters be delivered from this terrible evil.

1Cor. 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

1Cor. 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

1Cor. 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
